Northwest Alabama National Championship Fund Raising Banquet
Each year, such football coaching greats as Florida State Head Football Coach Bobby Bowden, ESPN Consultant Bill Curry and this year, former Air Force Academy Head Football Coach Fisher DeBerry have been keynote speakers at our annual National Championship Fund Raising Banquet in December. The proceeds from this event funds our yearly operating budget.
This year, an all-star line up welcomed those attending the 5th Annual National Championship Fund Raising Banquet December 3rd at the Shoals Marriott, beginning with music by local artist Stacey Hayes. Blake Killen, Lexington HS FCA Huddle President, thanked those who support FCA and shared the impact FCA has had in his life. UNA senior baseball player, Jarrett Shepherd explained that FCA is his stronghold, and Colbert County HS Head Football Coach Cody Gross shared how FCA has played an important part of his, as well as his family's life. Rob Callistro shared the impact FCA is having on our schools prior to Coach Fisher DeBerry, former Air Force Academy Head Football Coach, addressed the largest crowd ever to attend the banquet. Pastor Frank Whitaker gave the funding appeal. The Leadership Board would like to thank the volunteers and those that participated in the event to make it a great success.
